I HATE HOMEWORK! (and so do the kids)

So tonight is the night we have been dreading all summer long its our first homework night. Hannah and Chloe have 10 spelling words to learn, 2 sentences to learn to write, and a bible verse to learn all for a test they will have on Friday. Abbygail is to practice writing letters and numbers every night, and soon her sight words will start!

I know that H and C are in first grade but AHHH. My Panties Go Where?

So Lily has been wearing big girls panties in the morning when we get home from dropping off the big girls. This morning we got the panties and she took off her diaper and put her panties on her head!!

Oh how I LOVE school

What a relaxing day Lily and I had all to ourselves!! The house was so quite, there was no hearing 'she's being mean to me' "she took my (you fill in the blank)' and my favorite 'she's looking at me funny'. They came home all excited to be together and share what the all did in their new classrooms:) Summer ended at just the right time!

Lily the Puppy

So spending all that time with the dogs, Lily is now Lily the puppy she crawls around on all 4s, barks, and pants with her tounge out! She is super funny. While we were away she crawled in Margo's dog bed and laid down.

So the girls and I mad the long 18 hour drive to Kiawah to visit Aunt Sherry. The drive will NOT be talked about! For those of you who don't know Aunt Sherry has 2 dogs as pictured below, who Lily, Hannah, and Chloe are in love with, Abbygail could take or leave them.

August 2 nd Dodson Family Reunion

There were so many faces and so many names to remember. I didn't do very good about getting out my camera while we were there. I did get it out to get a shot of Lily with her cousin Van who is 1 day older than her. The girls had a blast with the older girl cousins. It's nice for them to have more family, they are so excited and can't wait to see them again!

Thank Goodness for...

Mimi and Poppie coming to town. Even though it was a trip planned before Danny needed surgery. We had a Dodson Family Reunion on the 2nd of Aug. They came down 2 days early, thank goodness for their help! Poppie mowed the grass, hung up a fan, and took Danny to the Dr. Mimi helped out with the girls and in the kitchen! It was nice to have extra hands around after a long week!

VBS

So if the weekend was crazy enough. Monday morning I was to be at VBS all week helping out. I am so glad I didn't back out, it was a blast. The girls had the best time and we took their good friend Zachary with us all week. They learned so many things about God. I caught Chloe singing with her eyes closed with one eye open just a crack. When ask what she was doing she said "I was having a minute with God" then we asked why was your eye open "Well I just didn't want to miss anything" They say the funniest things!

Surgery

It went great and he was even up and walking around that same evening and ready to go home. The next morning was a little crazy Danny was being discharged, I had to go get Hannah and Chloe from my parents house, and then I had to run to the airport to get Abbygail. Well it took for ever and the Dr hadn't shown up and I had to get on the road. So I left Danny with his mom and Lily. So here I am in downtown Fort Worth not knowing where I am and such, well to make a long story short on the to my parent's I got a speeding ticket. My first one ever!!! GRRRRR! By the time I got all our big girls and got home Danny, Lily and his mom were there. I was a crazy weekend!

Need to Update

So things are crazy at our house Danny had back surgery and a week later the girls and I were off to the beach for a week and we are home now but with school starting on Monday we are running crazy so I promise that on Monday I will catch up
