Our First Night Alone

Our first night alone since Lily was born and how was it spent? In a hospital with a husband on a ton of drugs and the worst food you can think of! Real romantic.

Leaving Lily

So I am one of those mom's who just doesn't like to leave her kids. Lily being 16 months old has NEVER spent the night away from me. I was torn between being with my husband who was on so many drugs to control his pain he really did not know which end was up, and staying with my baby. Well daddy got me and Lily got Nana. I have to say it was much harder than I thought it would be to leave Lily and it wasn't just for one night it was for two. The sweet baby was fine a little rough at bedtime but other than that so was great! Me on the other hand that is a different tale!

Friday, July 25

This morning about 3 am Danny woke up in so much pain and could hardly move I took him to the ER. There was no one there when we got there so he was seen right away which was a good thing. We were told that he had ruptured a disc and if he had waited to see a dr he could have ended up not being able to walk. They got him set for surgery the next morning at 7am and admitted him. Now thank goodness I only had one child to cope with (ok well maybe 2 if you count Danny:))

Thursday July 24th

So today I took Hannah and Chloe to go stay with Mia and Pops till Sunday when Abbygail comes home. I did not take any photos, Lily was very upset on the ride home, I think she was lonely. Lily and I arrived home about 5 ish. I was trying to pick from the day and walked back in to the living room to find Lily getting mad at the remote because the tv would not come on for her

Then Daddy came home and went to work out in the backyard on the shed. He bent over to pick up a nail and he had shooting pains up his back. So he came in and I got hime up to bed and we ate pizza in bed for dinner even Lily got to eat upstairs.

Bye, Bye Abbygail

This morning we were up early, well we are always up just just up and getting ready. Since its summer we like to stay in our Jammies until around 10!! Not this morning Abbygail was going to Denver to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa flew in to meet us so he could fly with Abbygail to Denver.

Our Sweet smiling girls on they way to the airport

Here is Abbygail with Grandpa getting ready to head though security and get on her plane.

She needed one last sister hug. They sure hate it when one of them goes somewhere. When whoever comes home it sure is sweet to see how much they love each other. And for a few days well sometimes hours there is no fighting! :)

We will see Abbygail on Sunday!
We can't wait:)

Potty

Back in April Lily started to want to sit on the big potty so we started letting her sit. She fell in once and I went to Target and bought her her own potty. In May she started to pee pee in it every once in a while so in June I bought her another one for upstairs. Since we have been home from Mimi and Poppie's she has been going pee pee pretty much all the time. Last night we had our 4th "icky" in the potty. The part of when she pee pees or makes on icky is after she wants to show it to everyone in house. She takes you into the bathroom and points to her potty and says "oook" (look) then she claps and says yeah until you do it too! She will kill me one day because of these photos!

Hair

I know it's hard to see, but Lily's hair is really starting to come in! I can't wait to see what it is going to look like. When we got home from the pool last night it was sticking up every where and it was so darn cute I had to take a few photos of her.

Water Slide

So our Daddy had this great idea to buy a huge water slide back in May and he did. Well its great fun when he hauls it out, stakes it to the ground, sets up the blower, attaches the water hose, and gets it going. It sure is a ton of work for about 30 min of play time, I mean really how many times do the kids want to climb up the middle and go down! Needless to say we have only gotten it out about 4 maybe 5 times this summer. It's fun and exciting when we do get it out, but its not like I can do it myself for them during the day when it would be great to play on it. The last time we got it out was Thursday night when Cousin Meredith was here, the girls had a blast with her and I got a little break. We for sure need to Meredith come again very soon!

Last Week at The Pool

Our new found love of the summer is to go to the pool. Hannah and Chloe are finally putting their heads under the water and swimming! It's about time! They all love diving for the rings and jumping in to see who can make the biggest splash, but their favorite is to take their best boy friend Zachary to the pool with us! I am so glad that the girls have found that we don't just have to be friends with girls, although I am sure Daddy would prefer we stick to only girls!

The Beach

OK so it was off to the beach for a
picnic! Or so we thought. We got
there and spent about 45 min.

Then what would happen.... It seemed our trip brought rain

So we piled in the car and found a
spot the rain hadn't hit and had our
picnic yummy, yummy!
After our picnic we went for a ride on the car ferry and saw a dolphin!! The icing on the cake for the girls. Then we ran back to the house and hurried fast got ready and went to visit a church that Poppie had wanted to visit boy oh boy was it a nice church.

The 4th of July

On the 4Th we went to a pot luck picnic with some of Mimi and Poppies friends from church then walked down to the ocean side to watch the big firework show; we had a great time. The girls couldn't keep their lips to themselves and I am quite sure several grown ups got their ears talked off that night. We had a blast!!

picture are :Lily with Daddy and all the girls with Mimi and Poppie!

So how many tries does it take to get a good photo of all 4 of your girls together?

There are 6 more just like these so the answer is more than 9 and 9 was all we had the patience to take that night!

Sea World Again

Since the girls and I had already been to Sea World we were able to show Daddy, Mimi, and Poppie our "Hot Spots". We were even able to take the girls on some of the rides since we had a grown up per kid this time. The big girls couldn't get enough of the rides and the shows. Chloe wants to be a Killer Whale trainer now, and with her swimming improving so much since we have been home she might just be able to do it. Lily loved "Mu" just as much as she did the first time. We had a blast at Sea World and can't wait to go back again soon! :)

Off to Visit Mimi and Poppie

So we were home from Sea World for 5 days then we were off again. In order to "catch up" on blogging I am going to do several posts in a day.

Our first day at Poppie and Mimi's we went to the State Aquarium. The girls just love animals and there was so much to see and touch! Here are a few photos from the Aquarium.
